Welcome to Cooking with Mrs. Rusconi! Each Tuesday, join me in my kitchen as I show you how to make some yummy meals for you and your whole family to enjoy. We will first learn about kitchen basics and our number one rule: Safety!

While this recipe includes certain ingredients, all recipes are a matter of personal preference. Please feel free to add or substitute other ingredients to your liking.

What are the colors of nutrition?? Study the chart below to find the benefits of each of the colors of different foods. After studying the chart, keep a journal for one week tracking what fruits and vegetables you ate, the colors, and the benefits. Try tracking the information for your entire family.
Do you know if the snacks you are eating every day are healthy? Healthy snacks are very important to keep a hear healthy body, especially for growing bodies like yours! See how many of the healthy snacks from the list you have had and choose at least five you are going to try this month. Then, complete the Heart Healthy Snack Attack sheet to practice calculating calories of snacks.
