Columbia International School

Due to Typhoon 7, the school has made this decision after carefully considering the safety of the students and the expected transportation disturbances caused by the typhoon.

Students will take everything home today, as it is the last day of Summer School 2024.

We will keep the indoor shoes for those who are absent today. Please choose ①pick them up at school or ② send them by cash on delivery, and let us know by email (summer@columbia-ca.co.jp).

Please note that as stated in the cancellation policy, no refund will be made if the school is closed due to bad weather or traffic conditions.

We are very sorry to end the Summer School 2024 this way, but we want to ensure everyone has a safe day tomorrow.

We look forward to seeing you again next year.

残念ながら、今日がサマースクール2024の最終日となるため、生徒の皆様には、全ての道具を持ち帰って頂きます。

尚、本日欠席されているみなさんの上履きはお預かりしますので、①学校に取りに来る、②着払いで送る、をご選択頂き、メールでお知らせください (summer@columbia-ca.co.jp)。

なお、キャンセル規定にありますように、悪天候やそれによる交通状況により閉校された場合は返金は致しかねます事、ご了承ください。

このような形でサマースクール2024を終えるのは大変残念ですが、みなさま明日はどうぞ安全にお過ごしください。

About Typhoon 7 / 台風７号への対応について

Dear students, parents, and guardians,

As of now (Wednesday, August 14th), we expect the school to be open as usual this Friday (August 16th). However, as many of you are aware, a typhoon is potentially hitting the Tokyo area, which is expected to impact the transportation system. We will continue to monitor the weather situation. If a cancellation is required to ensure the safety of students, we will update the information on the Summer School Blog. Please monitor the Summer School Blog for updates.

Reminders :CIS Emergency Actions / リマインダ：緊急時対応について

Large Earthquake or Natural Disaster

In case of a natural disaster or major earthquake, all staff and students will evacuate to the Columbia field. We will then move to the big gym and will request that all parents come to pick up their child personally, as we will not release them otherwise.

***Picking up children***

Only registered parents or guardians through the application may pick up students from the school. If someone other than this will pick up your child, you must inform the office who this person is.

地震への対応

万が一、大きな地震が起きた場合、生徒と教職員は学校グランドに避難します。学校の安全が確認できた場合は、学校の体育館に待機し、保護者が迎えにくるまで学校で保護します。　

***お迎えについて***

　上記の状況の場合、保護者または親族の方に学校までお迎えに来ていただきます。保護者以外（祖父母や親戚など）が学校にお迎えに来る場合は、必ずどなたが学校にお迎えに来るかをお知らせください。保護者からの連絡がなく、保護者以外の方がお迎えに来ても、保護者と連絡がとれるまでは引き渡しをしませんのでご協力ください。

***There are no make-up days or reimbursements available for missed class time due to natural disasters such as typhoons, heavy rain, strong wind, earthquakes, etc.
