Account Information

Your cohoes.org email and password is provided by Human Resources. Once you receive your account information, make sure to setup Multifactor Authentication immediately. Failure to do so in 7 days of first accessing your account will result in your account being inaccessible. 

This resource folder contains the following information: Information about your cohoes.org account, instructions for setting up Multi Factor Authentication, information on how to enroll in password self-service, and how to reset your network password.

SchoolTool

SchoolTool is our Student Information System (SIS). You will use it mainly for taking attendance, looking up student information, creating referrals, and submitting progress and report card grades.

How to Access: Use the Sign in with Google button

Schoology (PowerSchool)

Schoology, recently acquired by PowerSchool, is the district's Learner Managament System (LMS). If you are a secondary teacher, you will use it for posting assignments and class materials, and creating class or school announcements. 

How to Access: Use the Sign in with Google button. 

Tip: Remember to access, you will use cohoes.schoology.com NOT schoology.com, which is for parents.

Submit an IT Ticket

ServiceNow is the place to submit IT Tickets. This is where you would report an issue with hardware, software, or connectivity. It can also be used to make technology related requests, such as having access to a particular printer.  

When reporting an issue make sure to describe the issue or request in detail, including any troubleshooting steps you may have already tried. Attaching a screenshot that illustrates the issue, if applicable, is also helpful. A well written ticket will lead to quicker resolution of the issue or request.

Single Sign On Platform

ClassLink provides single sign on access to all district resources you have access to. This prevents you from having to login to each one separately or remember login information. 

How to Access: Click here and login with your Cohoes username (no @cohoes.org) and password.

Tip: The Sign in with Google button will not work until you connect your ClassLink account to your Google account.  Until this is done, you will need to enter your username and password manually.

ParentSquare

ParentSquare is a platform that unifies all communication tools used in your classrooms and the district.  Teachers and district staff can use ParentSquare to send messages, alerts, announcements, and sign ups to parents. Think of ParentSquare as a “one stop shop” for school communication that allows parents and staff to receive school related information from the convenience of their phones.
