Testing Opportunities at NWSA

ACT: All juniors in North Carolina take the ACT at school FOR FREE in March. No registration required and this is a COLLEGE ADMISSIBLE test!

Pre-ACT: The PreACT is given in October to all 10th grade students in CMS, free of charge, with no registration required.

PSAT: The PSAT is given in October to all 10th and 11th graders in CMS, free of charge, with no registration required.

Outside of the tests listed above, students will need to independently register and pay for all other SAT (CollegeBoard) and ACT tests.

Students are also responsible for requesting any desired testing accommodations independently from the testing agencies. Having a 504 or IEP does not guarantee that you will be approved for accommodations on these tests.

There are many test prep companies, both locally and nationally, of varying cost and course length. While there are many great options, counselors cannot recommend or endorse any test prep companies.

There are free test prep options through the College Board website (link above), the ACT website (link above), and other online resources (linked below).
