Hey there, thanks so much for checking out my simple system for deconstructing your classroom in just one day! I know it's tough to keep track of all the different close-out tasks at this time of year, and tricky to figure out how students can participate without things becoming chaotic.
Click here to download the list of kid-friendly tasks for end-of-year close out that I created. I hope this list will be as helpful for you as it has been for me!
I'll reach out once a week with other helpful resources for ending the school year strong and maximizing your summer. If you don't want to receive them, just hit the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of this message.
Have a wonderful end to your school year, and a fantastic summer break!

End of Year Celebration Note to Parents Created by Rebecca Query (Piney Grove) via Nicole Cappello (Piney Grove)
Good afternoon! I am attaching a sheet that I used for an end of the year celebration. I pull each student aside and ask them who is the best listener, who is the best teacher, who is the best friend, etc. I then just put a tally mark under whoever they tell me. Then I sort through the tally marks and see who gets what award. I have 17 categories on here so everyone gets an award. It is just a fun way to celebrate the year and voting is part of a 21st century skill! :) I attached the academy award paper as well. I made a bulletin board with them and put a picture of the student on the award. I will send them home to parents to keep. If you have any questions let me know! :) Two weeks left!!!!

Have students bring bathing suits, water shoes, and beach towels. Make sure you ask parents to put sunscreen on them before they send them to school. Providing 'cheap' sunglasses for each students is an added bonus.Set up 'water' stations for students to rotate through:
1. Water Table with bubbles to 'wash' manipulatives (dry on large towels and then store away for the summer)
2. Water Table with squirt bottles and tubes
3. Bubble Blowing station
4. Squirtters station (buckets of water to fill 'squirtters')
5. Sprinkler station
6. Tricycles/Bike Wash station
