10th graders should:
continue to utilize and build on study skills and organization tools they developed in 9th grade.
Continue to be involved in school activities and organization.
Begin researching or pursuing internships/apprenticeships/other outside opportunities, as available.
Take the pre-ACT and pre-SAT in the fall to get a baseline score. Take these seriously and do your best!
Be familiar with their CPCC advisor and participate in the course registration process
Know how to navigate BrightSpace, MyCollege, and other CPCC platforms
Use Naviance, Big Future, and other career and college planning resources to research post-secondary options. Students can begin aligning CPCC coursework with their post-secondary goals.
