CPEC students have access to CPCC's Career Services Department!
Career Services is separate from academic advising (course selection), and focuses more on:
helping students select a career and a program of study
deciding on a major/career,
creating a resume and practice interviewing
To make an appointment with a Career Services Counselor:
Create an account or Log In to Handshake using your Central Piedmont email address
In the middle of the main page, click on Central Piedmont Community College Career Center.
Click on Appointments and then the blue box that says "Schedule New Appointment"
Select the type of appointment you wish to make - Career/Major Decision (to explore career options) or Job Search Help (resume, interview) & then choose the specific appointment type.
From the drop-down menus across the top of the page, find Appointment Medium & choose your preference (Virtual on Handshake, In-person - (Your Campus), or Phone Call).
From there, you will be able to scroll through dates to view counselor availability & choose the day/time that works best for you.
Once your appointment is approved, you will receive an email confirmation with more information.
