Joe Francis Haircare/Cosmetology Scholarship

$3,000 - 15 Awards To be eligible for the scholarship a student must: A) Be currently applying for entrance into Cosmetology/Barber School, OR actively enrolled in a Cosmetology/Barber program.

Kids' Chance of Tennessee

The Kids’ Chance of Tennessee Scholarship Program awards scholarships to dependent children of a parent/guardian who has been seriously, catastrophically or fatally injured as a result of a work-related accident meeting the criteria of the Tennessee Workers’ Compensation Act and that has resulted in substantial financial need. Applicants must also meet the following requirements:

Must be a legal resident of the State of Tennessee
A dependent of a parent or guardian who has suffered a serious or catastrophic injury and/or permanent disability, or was fatally injured as a result of a work-related accident
Must be between the ages of 16 – 25 years old
Must be able to demonstrate substantial financial need
Must be enrolled as a full-time student at a post-secondary school (university, technical college, etc.)
Must demonstrate superior academic achievement and aptitude

Rising Scientists Award

$2,000 - 5 Awards To be eligible for the scholarship a student must: A) Show interest and achievement in psychology, neuroscience, or biomedical engineering research. B) Show strong academic performance in science courses.

Murray State University Balanced Man Scholarship

The Kentucky Epsilon chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon is offering 20+ one-time scholarships totaling $5,000 to incoming male freshmen at Murray State University for the 2022-2023 academic year. Applicants have no obligation to join or affiliate with SigEp to be eligible for the scholarship. Pedro Zamora Young Leaders Scholarship

Five thousand dollars in scholarship money will be awarded. Spotlights and supports young leaders who carry the torch of activists like Pedro and mitigate the impact of the HIV/AIDS epidemic in its current form — in ways inspired by their own passions, insights, originality and conviction. Application entails a completed packet, personal statement, essay, letter of rec and transcript.

Mary Bowman Arts in Activism Award

Five thousand dollars in scholarship money will be awarded. The award honors the life of Mary Bowman, the poet, advocate, author, singer and young person living with AIDS, who passed away in early 2019 at the age of 30. This $5,000 award is intended to support one young artivist (27 years of age or younger) each year who exemplifies Mary’s passion for the arts as the vehicle for their own HIV/AIDS community activism and expression. Application entails examples of art work, essays, two letters of recommendation, etc.

WKU Sigma Phi Epsilon (KY Delta) Balanced Man Scholarship Application

As part of a national effort on over 160 college campuses across the U.S., the Kentucky Delta chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon at Western Kentucky University (WKU) is offering TEN one-time scholarships in amounts ranging from $100-$1,000 to incoming freshmen men for the 2023-2024 academic year.

The Balanced Man Scholarship rewards men who exemplify strong leadership qualities with emphasis on a Sound Mind and a Sound Body, as we believe these are two ideals essential to leading a balanced life. This speaks to our own mission of “building balanced men.”

The students who apply for this scholarship are in no way required to join Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity or to take part in fraternity recruitment.
