TN Promise Scholarship- FASFA DEADLINE

Tennessee Promise provides students a last-dollar scholarship, meaning the scholarship will cover tuition and fees not covered by the Pell grant, the HOPE scholarship, or state student assistance funds. Students may use the scholarship at any of the state’s 13 community colleges, 27 colleges of applied technology, or other eligible institution offering an associate’s degree program. There are no GPA or ACT requirements to qualify, but students must apply by November 1 at http://tennesseepromise.gov and complete student checklist.


Society of Manufacturing Engineers Scholarship

The SME Education Foundation awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors pursuing manufacturing and engineering related courses at two- or four-year technical schools, community colleges and universities within the United States or Canada.

Girl Scout Council of the Southern Appalachians / Gold Award Scholarship

An award will be given to a Girl Scout Gold Award recipient whose troops, at the time of the award, was under the jurisdiction of GSMIDTN. Graduating Girl Scout Ambassadors who have received their Gold Award. Girls may only apply the year they graduate high school, no matter when they completed their Gold Award. If a girl is graduating in 2021, she must complete her Gold Award and have her exit interview prior to the February 1st deadline.

Murray State University

Murray State University uses one general scholarship application for all competitive scholarship selections. Students must be admitted to Murray State University and have submitted the scholarship application to be considered for all possible scholarships. The General Scholarship Application can be located on the Financial Aid section of the student’s myGate account. Michelle Merritt Scholarship/Rho Mu Zeta

The Scholarship Committee of Rho Mu Zeta is accepting applications for the Annual Michelle Merritt Scholarship Program for the 2020-21 school year. It is available to qualifying high school female seniors in any CMCSS High school. Applications are available in the counseling office. This scholarship is for $500 and is payable to the university in the student's name upon verification of enrollment. Application includes an essay to a given prompt, transcript, etc.

UT Knoxville Art Scholarships

The School of Art at the University of Tennessee is offering a first year student scholarship of up to $2,000 to award pre-majors in the School of Art at UT. These scholarships are merit based and awarded to students studying Art, Art History or Studio Art.

Jack Diller Education Award

The Nashville Predators Foundation has a Jack Diller Education Award that will be awarded to four deserving students that reside within the Nashville and Middle Tennessee area. Each recipient will receive a scholarship in the amount of $2,500. Minimum gpa of 3.0 from 10th-12th grade. Application and essay required.

Ned McWherter Scholars Program

The Ned McWherter Scholars Program is intended to encourage academically superior Tennessee high school seniors to attend college in Tennessee. Only 50 scholarships are awarded each year. Award amounts are up to $6,000 per academic year (i.e. $3,000 from TSAC and up to $3,000 from the college). Students must have a minimum 29 ACT Composite/1280 SAT and a minimum 3.5 GPA. An official transcript must be requested in guidance by February 12. The Marjorie Watson Mathematics Scholarship

The Department of Mathematics at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) invites students to apply for the 2021 Marjorie Watson Mathematics Scholarship. This prestigious scholarship is intended for an incoming freshman attending UTC who majors in Mathematics. The Marjorie Watson Mathematics Scholarship is a $5,000.00 scholarship and provides $2,000.00 in the freshman year and $1,000.00 in each of the sophomore, junior, and senior years.

Alzheimer's Awareness Scholarship

AFA’s Teens for Alzheimer’s Awareness College Scholarship Essay Contest is an annual competition for college-bound high seniors. Applicants are asked to write a 1,200 to 1,500-word essay that describes the impact of Alzheimer’s disease on themselves, their families or their communities, and what they have learned in light of coping with the brain disorder. The grand prize winner receives $5,000, with additional prizes awarded for runners up.

The Dorothy Dean Shelton Mathematics Scholarship

The Dorothy Dean Shelton Mathematics Scholarship is intended for an incoming freshman attending the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga who majors in mathematics. This scholarship will insure that all tuition, fees, books, room and board for an in-state student are fully paid.

Vegetarian Resource Group Scholarship

The Vegetarian Resource Group each year will award $20,000 in college scholarship money to graduating U.S. high school students who have promoted vegetarianism in their schools and/or communities. One award of $10,000 and two awards of $5,000 will be given.

Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Scholarship

A $250.00 scholarship will be award to a high school senior in the class of 2021 who is planning to attend a college/trade school full time in the fall. Student must have at least a 2.5 GPA. Students must complete application packet, and submit a letter of recommendation, a transcript, and an essay.

Women's Cyber Security Scholarship

Up to ten scholarships will be awarded. Each scholarship award will be between $1,000 – $6,000.

Scholarships to inspire women to join the ever-growing field of Information Security

Must be pursuing, or plan to pursue, a degree with a focus on cybersecurity or information assurance.

GPA must be at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale. Application includes transcript, resume, letter of rec, essays, etc.

The Westbrook Scholarship (UT Chattanooga)

The Department of Chemistry and Physics at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga announces the Westbrook Scholarship Program for 2021. Awards of $14,000 over four years will be presented to as many as 7 entering freshmen majoring in Chemistry or Physics. The awards are renewable over a four-year period and can be added to other University scholarships and the Tennessee Lottery scholarship. Student must be accepted for admission to UTC, complete high school chem or physics with a grade of A or B, have a GPA of at least 3.5, earn a 26 or higher on ACT, and declare chem or physics as major at UTC. Army Engineer Spouses' Club

The Army Engineer Spouses’ Club announces the Army Engineer Memorial Awards (AEMA). Applicants may be any graduating high school senior whose sponsor, parent, or legal guardian is a U.S. Army Engineer (active duty, retired or deceased), National Guard U.S. Army Engineer, Reserve U. S. Army Engineer, or current Dept of the Army employee of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), as well as a current member of the Army Engineer Spouses Club. The merit based awards are open to students in all fields of study and are based on academic and extracurricular achievement during high school. All monies awarded must be applied toward tuition or scholastic expenses at a college, university, technical or vocational school.
