HOPE Lottery Scholarship

Students must have either a 3.0 GPA or a 21 ACT and apply at https://fafsa.ed.gov/

The priority deadline is March 15, but students have up until Sept 1 (of the year you will attend college). Four-Year Institutions and two-year institutions with on-campus housing: Up to $1,750 per full-time enrollment semester as a freshmen and sophomore; then up to $2,250 per full-time enrollment semester as a junior and senior Additional money is available based on financial need and ACT/GPA achievements. Microsoft Disability Scholarship

This scholarship will be awarded to promising high school seniors with disabilities who plan to attend a vocational or academic college and target a career in the technology industry. The scholarships are renewable – each winner who continues to meet the criteria is eligible to receive an annual award of $5,000 for up to four (4) consecutive years for a potential total $20,000 scholarship.

Scholarship for Journalism Diversity

The National Press Club, the leading professional organization for journalists, wants to recruit promising future journalists who will bring diversity to American journalism. The scholarship consists of a $2,000 one-year scholarship, which can be renewed for up to three years at $2,500 per year. The first-year scholarship includes an additional $500 book stipend, the Ellen Masin Persina Scholarship.

Mike Groves Memorial Scholarship

Daughters of American Agriculture Scholarship

Daughters of American Agriculture Scholarship was created to honor the memory of those courageous and adventuresome pioneer women who played such an important role in the founding of this nation and encourage the present generation to continue their education in agricultural pursuits. These two scholarships ($1,000 each) are available to any farm, ranch or agribusiness woman or her daughter to pursue accredited courses in agriculture leadership, communications, rural sociology, medicine, or any other courses directly related to agriculture.

Children of Warriors National Presidents' Scholarship

The American Legion Auxiliary sponsors the Children of Warriors National Presidents’ Scholarship to support the children of our warriors. Three $5000 scholarships are awarded for excellence in academics and volunteerism. Candidates for this award shall be daughters, sons, grandsons, granddaughters, great-granddaughters, great-grandsons of veterans who served in the Armed Forces during eligibility dates for membership in The American Legion:

  • April 6, 1917, to November 11, 1918

Marine Corp Scholarship Foundation

For a child of an active duty, reserve, veteran Marine or Navy Corpsman who was attached to a Marine unit. (See website for specific requirements) Must have a 2.0 GPA and $106,000 family adjusted gross income or less.

Altra Foundation Community Service Scholarship

Altra Federal Credit Union believes in giving back. The Altra Foundation offers scholarships to young members who have a demonstrated history of community service. Applicants must be Altra Federal Credit Union members that are graduating high school seniors with a cumulative GPA of 2.80 or higher and will be attending a 2-year or 4-year college in Fall 2021.

Veterinary Summer Experience 2021

The Veterinary Summer Experience Program seeks to provide worthwhile opportunities for high school students interested in veterinary medicine while simultaneously generating a pool of potential veterinary students. To this end, the program has been designed to provide valuable educational experiences and acquaint students with all facets of our exciting profession. Students will shadow in a local veterinary practice in their hometown for five weeks and then spend one week in Knoxville as guests of the veterinary college. While here, they will be involved in various educational programs including lectures, laboratories, and clinical rotations.

Cornerstone Financial Credit Union Scholarships

Cornerstone Financial Credit Union will award one $5000 winner and twenty $1000 winners. College-bound high school seniors living in Davidson, Dickson, Montgomery, Rutherford, Sumner, and Williamson Counties are eligible to apply. Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award

This award of up to $10,000 is open to classical instrumentalists, vocalists, and composers between the ages of 8 and 18 with good grades (average 3.0 GPA) who have not yet graduated high school. Applicants must be interested in performing on From the Top with Host Christopher O’Riley, and demonstrate (in order of importance): exceptional musical achievement, unmet financial need, solid academic achievement, strength of character. The Community Foundation Scholarship Program

The Community Foundation Scholarship Program administers more than 100 scholarship funds through an open application process. Some scholarships help students from a particular school or area; others provide financial assistance to those pursuing a specific field of study; still others assist students most in need.

Beyond the Burroughs National Scholarship

Beyond the Boroughs awards four-year scholarships -- each worth up to $20,000 – to both male and female students of any race from any state. We aim to create deserved college scholarship opportunities for students, with a primary focus on first generation collegians.

  • Acceptance to an accredited four-year college, university, or equivalent

  • Low income household

  • G.P.A. of 2.5 or higher

The Fortera Credit Union is granting ten $2000 scholarships to graduating seniors. Applicants must be the primary member of a Fortera Credit Union account, and the account must be in good standing. Applicants must have a GPA of at least 2.0 and plan to attend an accredited college, university, community college, or technical school.

MTSU Prospective Biology Major

The Biology Department at Middle Tennessee State University has three $1,500 scholarships available to first-semester freshman. The recipients of the awards must be graduating high school seniors, must declare Biology as their major and be entering MTSU for the Fall 2020 semester. Successful applicants will also need to demonstrate an interest in the life sciences and have career aspirations in a biological field. The scholarships will be awarded based on the students’ ACT scores, high-school GPA, and their responses on the application form. Riding Forward Scholarships

Regions Bank is offering 30 Regions Riding Forward Scholarships to high school seniors and college students through a competitive essay contest about inspirational African-Americans. Fifteen $5,000 scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors and fifteen $3,500 scholarships will be awarded to college students. CLARK JOHNS – JOE STEPHENS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND

The Clarksville Lodge No. 89's scholarship committee will award a $1000 scholarship to a Montgomery County senior that is enrolling as a full-time student at a college/university. This scholarship was established for the purpose of assisting the education beyond the high school level in a regular course of study at a degree granting college or university. This can include an Associates Degree in a professional or technical profession.

TN Concrete Association High School Essay Contest

The Tennessee Concrete Association (TCA) is once again sponsoring the annual High School Essay Contest for Tennessee and your students are invited to participate. All entries into Tennessee Concrete Association’s Essay Contest will be judged by a panel of industry personnel and TCA will award cash prizes to the first place ($250), second-place ($100) and third-place ($50) essays. The TCA contest winners will have their essays published in the spring edition of Tennessee Concrete magazine in addition to the cash prizes. Western Grizzard Memorial Scholarship

The Clarksville Civitan Club sponsors an academic scholarship to Austin Peay State University, renewable for up to three more years (maximum of two semesters per academic year).
