Ned McWherter Scholars Program
The Ned McWherter Scholars Program is intended to encourage academically superior Tennessee seniors to attend college in Tennessee. The award is $6,000 per academic year, $3,000 from the State of Tennessee and $3,000 from the college. The institutional match may be a campus-based award already included in the student’s financial aid package as long as it does not contain a work or service obligation.. Awards are very competitive and are based on limited funding.
To be eligible, you must be a TN resident and a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or eligible non-citizen, attend an eligible Tennessee college or university full-time within 16 months following graduation, have at least a 3.75 unweighted cumulative high school gpa, and have a minimum composite score of 32 ACT or 1430 SAT.
An official transcript must be requested in guidance by February 25.

The First Scholars Scholarship at the University of Memphis
The First Scholars Scholarship is available to freshmen, first-generation students who will begin attending the University of Memphis in the fall of 2024. At the UofM, students are considered first-generation when they have a parent or guardian who has not completed a 4-year degree. This means a parent or guardian could have completed a technical degree, international degree, or associates and the student would still be first-generation. It also does not matter if the student has a sibling who has completed a 4-year degree already. Must be apply and be admitted to the University of Memphis.

$2000 Lineworker Scholarship

Sponsored by American Legion Auxiliary. American Foreign Service Association

MOAA (for military children)
One application covers all scholarships, grants, and interest free loans for students with a 3.0 GPA. Based on academics, financial need, military affiliation, and extracurricular. Military Affiliation: All children of officers are eligible. Officer parents are required to have a paid MOAA membership if their child is selected for our program. (Membership is about $60 a year.) Children of active duty or retired enlisted personnel are eligible as well. However, children of former enlisted personnel are unfortunately not eligible for our program. "Former enlisted" refers to individuals who have been discharged or separated from the military and are no longer serving.

Women's Cyber Security Scholarship

2025 Dr. Robert L. Hunt Memorial Scholarship
The 2024 Dr. Robert L. Hunt Memorial Scholarship application offered by the Clarksville Masonic Lodge No 89 F&AM. This is a $1000 grant available to Montgomery County high school seniors that was established for the purpose of assisting the education beyond the high school level in a regular course of study at a degree granting college or university. GEICO Local JROTC Excellence Scholarship Awards Program
Two (2) $500 scholarships are available for seniors attending any high school in Montgomery County, TN.
Program Guidelines & Priorities:
Seeking graduating seniors with a record of volunteerism in the community in non-school activities, participation in extracurricular school activities, a member in good standing with the JROTC program, leadership roles and academic performance.
Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and plan to attend college or technical school.
Scholarship award will be paid and presented in May 2024.
Applicant must have the endorsement of their Guidance Counselor or Senior Army Instructor attesting they are qualified fit for this scholarship program. GEICO Local Office strongly suggests that each high school present this opportunity to the strongest applicants that match this program’s guidelines. Application deadline is Thursday, March 28, 2024 by 4:00pm to be received at the GEICO Local Office. Late applications are not accepted.
The applications will be reviewed and recipients selected by a committee consisting of volunteers from GEICO Local Staff. The scholarships will be awarded in May 2024.
