Plays are a very good way to practice reading, new vocabulary, speaking, and listening. Using your body while you speak helps you to understand the true meaning and usage of words. It also gives your child a chance to practice speaking in full sentences with a loud voice and clear pronunciation. Your child must listen for when it is their turn to speak, so it is great listening practice!
You can help your child by letting them practice with you a few times. They are welcome to bring things for their character if they want to (such as glasses, a tie, paper ears, etc.), but they do not have to.
I will take a video of the plays. If you want to see the video, just let me know and you can come in for a minute to see it.
