Here to listen, not judge
Life can seem challenging at times and we face many different experiences which can affect our emotions, behaviours and how we manage on a daily basis. Whether its college or personal, our team of fully trained counsellors are here to support and listen, in a private and confidential setting.
We can help with issues such as;
Anxiety, stress, relationship, family matters, Trauma and more
By listening we can, help you find ways to deal with any emotional issues, look at things in a different way, support you to come up with strategies to build your resilience, empower you to move forward with your life, promote self-understanding and self-acceptance.
What counselling do we offer...
'One at a time' Solution Focused counselling
We offer a single session of counselling focusing on what you feel is the main difficulty in your life right now. These standalone sessions, take up to 1 hour 15 minutes each, and can help you deal with any specific issues you are currently experiencing by exploring solutions, techniques and strategies that may help you.
You can book further single session appointments if you want them. However, at busy times there may be a wait.
Block of 6 ongoing appointments
We offer up to six ongoing appointments, each lasting 45 minutes. These, one per week sessions, will give you an opportunity to talk more deeply about any thoughts, feelings and difficulties that are causing you distress. We aim to help you understand yourself better or think about things in a different way by exploring the underlying dynamics of individuals and their relationships.
You can book a further block of sessions each term. However, at busy times there may be a wait.

Anxiety
Anxiety is a normal emotion in us all, but sometimes it can get out of control and become a mental health problem.
Lots of things can lead to feelings of anxiety, including exam pressures, relationships, starting a new job (or losing one) or other big life events. We can also get anxious when it comes to things to do with money and not being able to meet our basic needs, like heating our home or buying food.
Anxiety is one of the most common mental health problems we can face. In a recent mental health survey we carried out around stress, anxiety and hopelessness over personal finances, a quarter of adults said they felt so anxious that it stopped them from doing the things they want to do some or all of the time. Six in ten adults feel this way, at least some of the time. On a positive note, anxiety can be made easier to manage.
Come and speak to one of our Wellbeing team as we can offer you support and help with coping strategies that can really make a difference.
