National Civic Collaboratory Members are eligible for a travel stipends from Citizen University. These stipends are intended to support members who need travel assistance in order to participate in a Collaboratory meeting during the year. Because of this, priority will be given to members who do not have institutional or organizational support. Questions about the travel stripends can be directed to Vicki Rubio, vicki@citizenuniversity.us.
While all members can apply for a stipend, we are prioritizing members who:
Do not have institutional or organizational support
Have not yet attended a National Civic Collaboratory this calendar year
Have not received a stipend in the past calendar year
We have a limited amount of funds per Collaboratory convening, so members can apply for up to $450 to cover travel costs. Travel costs include airfare or a train ticket.
Complete the application form, found below.
Applications will be reviewed by the Civic Collaboratory Program Manager, Vicki Rubio. The Program Manager will notify you whether or not your application has been approved.
Approved applicants must register to attend the Civic Collaboratory they've been approved for.
Citizen University will send the member the stipend payment.
If a stipend payment has been made and you are no longer able to attend the National Civic Collaboratory, we will ask that you reimburse Citizen University so that we can provide those funds to another member.
