Members of the National Civic Collaboratory commit to:
Sharing their experiences and perspective and listening to those of others in the spirit of building bonds of trust and affection
Utilizing their knowledge, skills and network to benefit the collective power of the Collaboratory
Making and keeping commitments made to fellow Collaboratory members
The National Civic Collaboratory meets once a year virtually and in person three times per year for two days, hosted by member organizations in cities across the US. The Welcome Reception takes place on Thursday evening. The meetings are held on Friday generally from 8am-3pm. We ask that participants come for the entirety of both, and if they can’t, to wait till a future meeting when they can.
Attendance at least one meeting per year is requested to be viewed as an active member of the Collaboratory. After one year of non-attendance, we will check in to inquire if members are still interested in being a member of the Collaboratory. After two years of non-attendance, participants will be removed from the list.
Members cover their own transportation costs to Collaboratory convenings. Limited transportation stipends are available to members who don’t have institutional or organizational support and otherwise wouldn’t be able to attend.
Membership is non-transferable.
Substitutions are allowed for single meetings, but must be approved by Citizen University.
Members are asked to inform the Civic Collaboratory Program Manager when they are transitioning from their current organization so we can update your information.
To submit a Rotating Credit Club proposal for an upcoming convening, members need to have attended at least one convening to be considered.
