Do you have a project that could benefit from a wide range of support and commitments of help? Consider submitting a proposal for the Rotating Credit Club!
Our gatherings unfold in two parts. Thursday night begins with a Welcome Reception and Dinner.
We break bread together because trust does not form on a panel. It forms at a table. The purpose is simple and essential. We strengthen bonds of trust and affection so that real collaboration can happen the next day.
On Friday, we move into the Rotating Credit Club. A few members share an idea or project they are actively working on. The rest of the group does not offer critique. Instead, they offer commitments. Concrete help. Introductions. Strategy. Resources. Accountability. This exchange of social, intellectual, institutional, and sometimes financial capital is what gives the Collaboratory its power. People leave not just with insight, but with allies.
At each meeting, we also host two Group Discussions. Sometimes we wrestle with pressing political and cultural questions. Sometimes we name the leadership challenges people rarely admit out loud. We do not avoid tension. We practice working through it.
Each National Civic Collaboratory meeting is typically capped at around 60 participants so that relationships can deepen and commitments can stick.
Members of the Youth Collaboratory join us for Thursday’s dinner and part of Friday’s meeting, creating space for intergenerational learning, challenge, and shared responsibility.
