Hangzhou Hunt

Hangzhou 8

April 13, 2021

The first ever Hangzhou Hunt took place on Tuesday, April 13. Students, having just been released from 21 days of quarantine, worked with their HZ in HK peers at Braemar Hill to track down "escaped" teachers. The locations of the teachers were gradually revealed throughout the day (see map below). Students reported a wide range of emotions, from frustration to excitement and exuberance. In the end, they used their collaborative skills, built resilience, and enjoyed a fun, full experience in their new city.

Mr. Garrett was the first to be captured (at 9:10am) by Neil's group, S302!

Lin laoshi captured shortly after Mr. Garrett, at 9:16, by Wonder's group, S402!

Ms. Roderick was found at 9:28 outside a Decathlon. It was a contentious moment as both N402 and S401 found her at the same time. Both teams receive credit for the find (pictured above is N402)

Mr. Donohoe found strolling along the canal by Neil's (S302) group at 9:57!

After being sent to the wrong place (Thanks, Mr. Pollock!), Lance (S301) and Betty (N401)'s groups raced each other to find Mr. Langley, who was found outside a Starbucks in one of the best costumes of the day. Ultimately, S301 arrived a bit earlier and captured him.

Mr. Matheson is found by Neil's group at 10:52. This marks the third teacher found by S302

Mrs. Pollock is found wandering through the botanical garden at 10:53. This is the second teacher found by S402

After a difficult start,  N202 and Ingrid showed great resilience, working together to find Song laoshi near the opera house at 11:37, just before Wonder's group

Zhang laoshi is seen reading on the beautiful Bai Causeway near 西湖, and is quickly found at 11:51 by Jack's  S401 boys

The last escaped teacher is brought in, as S402 (Wonder's Boys) capture Tang laoshi fishing by the Grand Canal at 12:11pm

Mr. Jones greets students at the final location
