TV Broadcasting (CHS TV)
This course is designed to expose students to the various roles in TV Broadcasting. Students will work collaboratively to develop weekly news segments by gathering and editing footage of the weekly morning announcements, school events, sports, and student-generated content, which will be broadcast to the student body at regular intervals. Students will make editorial and formatting decisions about news coverage, stories, and presentation while managing reporters, anchors, writers, editors and others under deadline pressure. Students will be given instruction in the function and operation of all basic television facilities, including cameras, tripods, microphones, non-linear video editing software and studio lighting equipment. This course will allow students to expose their creatively and strengthen their leadership skills while they explore the field of TV Broadcasting.
