Aliya is conducting a research to find out applicability of Herzberg’s Two-Factor Theory of Motivation at a specific institution, as well as understanding the different factors that can influence employees’ job satisfaction and motivation. The results highlight the complexity of applying the theory because there are mixed results. Although some factors like recognition and the work itself support the theory, the role of relationships is debatable because the theory considers it as a hygiene factor while the findings provide that relationships can be a motivating factor.
