TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) courses enable students to volunteer abroad or lead online classes to teach others English.
TEFL (Level 3) takes around 120 hours of study, and will qualify students to:
Teach English abroad in entry-level roles, often in countries where demand is high and qualification requirements are flexible (e.g. parts of Asia, Eastern Europe, South America).
Work as an online English tutor for platforms that accept teachers without a degree or with basic TEFL credentials
Volunteer or teach informal classes — e.g. summer camps
TEFL (Level 3)
This course is comprised of a series of online modules via the TEFL Academy. CHS students will be supported by a teacher in timetabled lessons, but will be expected to follow the online course independently. Completing the course takes around 120 hours.

Lesson planning: Learning how to design and plan lessons for diverse learners.
Teaching skills: Developing skills for teaching both receptive skills (reading and listening) and productive skills (speaking and writing).
Language systems: Gaining a theoretical and practical understanding of grammar, phonology, and vocabulary.
Classroom management: Learning how to manage a classroom effectively.
Teaching tools: Exploring how to use technology and other tools in the classroom.
Assessment and reflection: Understanding how to assess learning and engage in reflective practice.
