At Cherry, we are proud to offer a range of extra-curricular activities for our students, one of which is the Musical Theatre club. These activities are designed to complement and enhance the music curriculum, providing students with opportunities to develop their skills and interests in musical theatre.
Participating in music extra-curricular activities at school has many benefits, including increased confidence, creating a passion for the arts and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. It also offers a chance for students to explore their creativity and self-expression in a supportive environment. This allows the children to explore what may be a possible career choice in their future.
Children are given the opportunity to participate in young voices. They will learn songs and how to work as an ensemble and eventually perform at the O2 arena.
In musical theatre club, the children learn about a new musical each term. They will learn the songs, a scene and dance moves to create a piece to perform.
Years 3, 4 and 5 have the opportunity to play in their own band culminating in a performance to parents. There are also opportunities to have private music tuition sessions with the iRock tutors.
