Cystic Fibrosis is a genetic disorder that damages the lungs and digestive system. Causing fluids to become thick and sticky. We chose this because it a sad disease and with Cystic Fibrosis you can't do the same things people who don't have it get to do. People with Cystic Fibrosis are in and out of the hospital a lot it's very sad. There is a movie called βFive feet Apartβ that came out last year and it's about two kids who both have Cystic Fibrosis, and theyβre not able to be less than six feet apart from each other or one of them could get their germs. People should know about Cystic Fibrosis because people with CF (Cystic Fibrosis) don't have as much privilege as people without it. CF is a recessive genetic disease. Recessive genetic disease is when you inherit two mutated genes, one from each parent. These disorders are usually passed on by two carriers. Over 30,000 people are living with CF and over 70,000 worldwide. There is about 1,000 new cases of CF each year.
Each time two CF carriers have a child, the chances are 25 percent ( 1 in 4) the child will have CF. 50 percent (1 in 2) of the child will be a carrier but will not have CF. It is a life-threatening disorder. The mortality rate varies with age and is likely to be about 1β2% per year overall. Some of the symptoms that CF people have are very salty-tasting skin, persistent coughing, at times with phlegm, frequent lung infections including pneumonia or bronchitis, wheezing or shortness of breath, poor growth or weight gain in spite of a good appetite, frequent greasy, and bulky stools or difficulty with bowel movements, and male infertility. People with CF should have a balanced diet of fruits and veggies, whole grains, dairy products, and protein because they still aren't able to use 100 percent of the energy they consume because enzymes cannot break down everything they eat or correct their problems with absorbing nutrients.

Apple toast has protein, lipids, carbohydrates, and Nucleic Acids. The wheat bread has protein, the protein comes from simple proteins that are naturally present in the wheat kernel and the resulting flour. Wheat bread also has lipids in it which comes from bread formula. Another ingredient that contains lipids and also contains Nucleic Acids is butter, lipids, and Nucleic Acids meaning that they contain carbon atoms, and they do not dissolve in water. Apples are another ingredient that has protein and the protein is already in the apple when it starts growing.

Whole wheat tortillas provide more fiber and nutrition value. Whole wheat grains have an outer skin called bran. It contains multiple layers of vitamins, fiber, minerals, bioactive compounds, and phenolic acids. Iron is part of a component called hemoglobin - (a protein molecule), located in red blood cells that carry oxygen to the lungs, then the rest of your body. If you do not have enough in your blood that can cause iron deficiency which would lead to anemia.
Peanut butter is a good source of protein & increases the amount of calorie intake. It mostly consists of saturated, monounsaturated(mono- βsingleβ), & polyunsaturated fats(poly- βmanyβ) fatty acids. In a CF patientβs body, there is thick sticky mucus that makes it hard to absorb fats and nutrients. So a more high calorie & fat diet is the way to go. Mostly because the pancreas was blocked from pumping enzymes into the intestines which help to break down food.
