Principal's Message:

January 04, 2026

Happy New Year, Panther Families! 🎉

We hope you all had a wonderful break and that our amazing students are rested, recharged, and ready to jump back into learning! We're so excited to welcome them back and continue the incredible growth we've been seeing.

A Few Important Reminders:

Attendance Matters – Every Day Counts! Being in school every day, all day long, makes such a difference in your child's learning and success. We know a pesky bug has been making the rounds, so please keep your student home if they're experiencing flu-like symptoms or had a fever the night before. When they're feeling better and return to school, just send a quick note letting us know they were sick – we appreciate it!

If your child has 6-8 or more unexcused absences, our wonderful Social Worker will reach out with a call and letter. We're here to partner with you and provide support to help keep your student in school and thriving.

Our Big Goal: We're working toward 95% or higher attendance each month and for the entire school year! Attendance is closely monitored by both the district and state, and it plays a big role in how we measure success.

We're So Proud of Our Panthers! Your students have been doing phenomenal work, and we're honored to serve and support each one of them every single day. Together, we're going to make 2026 an outstanding year of growth, learning, and achievement!

The Love for Reading - Lifelong Readers

Students brought home a reading log in December( See below)—please review it with your child to ensure it’s complete as they worked toward reading one book a day over the break, and have your child return on Monday. Our goal is to build lifelong readers. Did you know we’re the only elementary school in the district with a mobile book cart, led by Ms. Norman and our student ambassadors? Mrs.Norman has been recognized for being creative in getting books into the hands of our students.  Also, our middle school students read daily for 20 minutes. We’re excited to keep building a love for reading.  Thank you for your partnership.
