Flite Test Tiny Trainer

I made a Tiny Trainer foam plane from Flite Test to practice my flying, because I need to know the basics of flying a simple plane before flying the complicated Retro Rocket. Here are the links to the tutorial and the files

Because of limited electronics, I only built the fuselage and used a nose that already had the electronics and motor attached while using a random pair of wings. I didn't fly my plane because we just switched out random fuselages that worked but here is a video of one of the trainers flying.

Challenges

The most challenging part of the plane was connecting the push rods to the rudder and the elevator. Normally the Z-bend in the push rod would work just fine to connect them to the wood pieces and therefore the rudder and elevator, but Mr.Dubick wanted me to use these screws that would allow me to adjust the length of the push rods through the wood pieces. The first problem was that the first screw he gave me wasn't long enough to be able to put a nut on the end to hold it in place so I had to hot glue it in place. I then noticed that the screw he gave me didn't have anything to tighten down on the push rod when I turned the allen wrench so I hot-glued the push rod to the screw. Thankfully the next screw Mr.Dubick gave me was long enough so I was able able to put a nut on to hold it in place and there was something to use the allen wrench on so that I can actually adjust the length of the push rod.
