Description:
This would be a system of gears, and would work like a normal clock you could find in your house, but would be controlled by an arduino instead. Would most likely have an encasing so it isn’t just gears out in the open. Would possibly add a little bit of a “cuckoo” function, so every hour there would be a chime and a bird or some object popping out from the top.

- While researching the gears for the music box, I realized it may take a very long time to get to work. Here, the gear systems would be more complicated tenfold than that. I had a lot of original ideas for fun additions to the clock, but honestly if I chose to do the clock, most of the project would probably be devoted to a gear system.
- This goes back to the idea of the gears, but one little misstep would probably mess up the rest of the project. I’m not sure if I have the expertise to make something like this.
Unlike the other two projects, a clock is actually a useful object that I could use. Designing the cuckoo part, if I am able to do so, would be incredibly fun. Making the system that will control the “cuckoo” part would probably present its own unique challenges, but I would enjoy this project.
