Corel Logo

Logo

I designed this logo was designed in Corel Draw, and drawing it was similar to the way we drew the printed Corel Box. However, this time we had free reign to experiment with different shapes and colors to determine what we liked, which I took advantage of. Buy overlapping a couple of triangles, I was able to come up with these shapes and color them in a bit to create a personalized logo. However, instead of printing out a cutout of it, this time we engraved it on a keychain, and we prined it as a Vinyl Sticker.

Key-Chain

For the engraved keychain, we used the laser cutter again, but had to adjust the settings to make sure we weren’t cutting completely through the leather we were given for the keychain, but rather engraving on the top layer so we ended up with an image. I engraved the middle part of my design. Unfortunately the logo ended up un-centered on mine, and I quinkly tried to fix it before it got very far into the print however it ended up un-centered the second time too. Otherwise, I was able to print it normally. We then hammered a piece of metal on it to serve as the ring on the keychain, and were able to finish it like this.

Vinyl Cutter

The second way we printed this was on a vinyl cutter. The purpose of that was since it was on vinyl, it could be flexible, and the vinyl was attached to a plate with a sticky coating so when we peeled it off, we could stick it onto something like a sticker. Mine was a little hard to print, and I had to go back to the original file and make multiple iterations of it to make sure the vinyl cutter wasn’t cutting between all the different shapes I layered, but once I did I printed the entire thing and removed the inside parts to come up with this sticker, as seen on the back of my school iPad. It has stayed put since and has worn off a little, but I would call it a success. Note that in the keychain, I engraved only the middle part of my design but with the sticker, I cut out the middle and was left with the outside.
