The SMART Space is Champlain's student headquarters for academic success. Our professionally-trained Academic Coaches work one-on-one with students in executive function to identify their strengths, build new skills, and encourage wellbeing and resilience. Our Peer Tutors provide content-specific support to students in drop- in centers: Mathematics, Accounting & Finance, Writing, Programming, Computer Networking & Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics, Game Art, Game Design, and Game Production.

SMART Space Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide an interactive and welcoming space that encourages students to become thoughtful about themselves, engaged in learning, proactive, confident, and secure enough to take on risks or challenges. We want our students to feel part of a larger community of learners. Our peer-to-peer tutoring centers and professional academic coaching services invite students into this collaborative, non-judgmental community and empower students as they develop resiliency and build skills to help them succeed in the classroom and beyond.
