New Employee + Volunteer Fellow: IT Onboarding
Enter your username
Your username should have been included in an initial email from User Access. It will likely be the first initial of your first name followed by your last name.
Enter your temporary password
Your temporary password should be included in the same initial email from User Access. It is an automatically generated string of letters, numbers, and characters.
Create a new password when prompted
This will be the password you use for all CHA logins. Make sure it is unique and secure, including at least 8 characters with at least one uppercase and lowercase letter, a number, and a symbol. You will have to reset it every 6 months.
Go to a new Gmail login or add a secondary account.
You will access your CHA email account through the regular Gmail sign-in page.
Enter your email address when prompted
Enter the email address provided in the initial email from User Access. It will be your username with @challiance.org at the end. Enter this entire address into the Gmail sign-in portal.
Enter the new password you just created
Use the new password you just created to login.
Re-enter your username and password to login through CHA
When you enter your email address and password through Google, you will be automatically rerouted to a CHA single sign-on page asking you to enter your username (do not include @challiance.org at the end) and your password.
You should now have access to your email! If you are confused about any of the steps, reach out to asanousi@challiance.org.
CHA utilizes "dual login" or "multi-factor authentication" to ensure security of our accounts. This means that when you login to your CHA Google account or the Remote Access portal, you will be prompted to confirm your identity by clicking a pop-up prompt sent to your cell phone. CHA uses the Imprivata app for multi-factor authentication. Remote Access is used to access applications and software that are otherwise only available through a CHA computer.
Details for setting-up multi-factor authentication while offsite can be found on this CHA Google Site. You will need to download the Imprivata dual login app on your phone and call the CHA Helpdesk at 617-665-2468.
All new hires and new fellows will have a series of trainings to complete. They are located in CHA's training portal- HealthStream. You can access HealthStream at this link, or through remote access. Instructions for accessing HealthStream and completing your trainings can be found in the folder to the right. You do not need to complete these trainings on the first day, they will take about 2-3 hours to finish. Please complete them within the first week you join the CMC and before you access any patient or research participant information. Please see more information about trainings on this webpage, where you can also learn about the process for requesting an Epic orientation and completing your CITI trainings if you are on the research team.
In order to gain access to the CMC office, you will need to get a CHA Badge printed. Please send a photo ID to Kemeline at the CHA badge office so that she can coordinate badge pick-up. You can also go into the Badge office at the CHA Main Hospital and get a picture taken. At the moment, all staff at CMC are either completely remote or hybrid workers (subject to change) but you are welcome to come into the office when needed. More badge office details and photo ID restrictions are included on this webpage.
1. Please send along a headshot and bio for the CMC's "Meet the Team" webpage. You can view examples of other team member's headshot/bio for guidance. Your photo can be any appropriate and clear photo that you like!
2. Please send Ahmed your cellphone number and personal email address. Your cellphone number will be added to an Emergency Notifications WhatsApp Group, where we will send information about any emergencies, power outages at the office, or inclement weather office closures.
3. If you would like your birthday celebrated, then please send your birthday month and date to Ahmed. The CMC team creates a birthday gratitude board for each team member on their birthday.
