New Employee: IT Onboarding
New Employee: IT Onboarding
Wait 48 hours after receiving your onboarding email before contacting Helpdesk; your accounts will not be available prior.
Contact during business hours Monday-Friday between 6am-6pm.
Your new manager may be paged during your call for identification purposes (only call during business hours).
When you first receive the email with your account temporary password, and link to this instruction for set up, your account services are not fully in place and Helpdesk will not be able to assist you.
Please ensure you call during business hours so your new manager is not paged at home.
Note also any interactions with Helpdesk must be over the phone so your identity can be verified; no email support is available for this purpose.
Welcome to Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) !
The four sections of this site provide step-by-step instructions for setting up your new CHA services prior to starting at CHA. These are important early steps to be able to communicate and fulfill various requirements of your onboarding.
You must follow these instructions in the order presented: first "Install Imprivata", then "Reset Password and Configure Imprivata", then "Access Gmail", and lastly (for CHA payroll employees only) "Access Infor".
If you experience problems with any of these steps, please use the support contact indicated on that specific page of the instructions. Different groups may support each section's activities.
Below is an overview of what will be accomplished by following the instructions on each page listed to the left.
Imprivata "multi-factor authentication" is an important step in CHA's network security. First you log into an application using your network account, and then (multi-factor) you receive a prompt on your mobile device with Imprivata installed to confirm the login request.
Step 2: Reset Password and Configure Imprivata
CHA provides you with a network account, which allows you to log into computers, your CHA email, and other applications. Your CHA network username is automatically created, and is normally your first initial and last name (example John Smith = jsmith). The email you received from useraccess-infor@challiance.org has a temporary password, so that you can reset to one of your personal choosing.
CHA uses Google Workspace, including the same Gmail web interface you may be familiar with. By testing your CHA Gmail access at this step, you are confirming that your network account works, and that Imprivata is set up correctly on your mobile device. Completing this step indicates you are now ready to log into other CHA applications.
This step is only applicable to direct CHA payroll employees. Infor is the application that Human Resources (HR) uses for onboarding and more. You will use Infor for payroll-related tasks such as filling out your W-4 and Direct Deposit info, setting up your benefits, and various other activities throughout your time at CHA. You will likely have required Onboarding Tasks assigned that are due within your first week of work.
