For those who filed taxes for 2018 or 2019, or completed the Non-Filers Application before November 22nd, 2020: The second round of Economic Impact Payments (EIPs) will be automatically disbursed by direct deposit, check, or debit card. No action is required on your part to receive this payment.
If you received the first EIP via direct deposit but have since closed the bank account to which it was deposited, this payment will be mailed to your most recent address in the form of a check or in a direct deposit to a new account.

For those who did not file taxes and did not complete the non-filers application before November 22nd, 2020: You will not be able to receive this $600 payment via check, direct deposit, or debit card - the non-filers tool is now closed. However, on your 2020 tax return, you will be able to claim the Economic Impact Payments in the form of the Recovery Rebate Credit. This credit will increase the amount of your tax refund. This tax form can also be filled out by those who eligible for EIPs but are not otherwise required to file taxes.
For all who want assistance filing taxes, Food Bank NYC will be providing free tax preparation beginning on January 15, 2021! Please check out their website for more information!
