Google Meet

Google Meet

Google Meet will be the quickest and easiest Online Meeting Room that you will have access to. You don't need software, you can run it all in a browser window. You will find help videos below:

  1. Google Meet (Hangouts) - https://meet.google.com - Note: Students cannot make 'Meet'ings, but they can join one created by teachers.

  2. Access can be turned on for staff through Admin. Go to Apps=>G Suite=>Hangout Meets=> turn on for staff in STATUS.

  3. Allows a number of connections (usually 25 - but has been raised to 250 to accommodate the current crisis)

  4. If your school is using iPads you will need to install the Google Meet App this will require students to have a Gsuite account.

  5. Quick Tip - Command + D turns your mike off and on! Command + E turns your camera on and off! (You must be on the Meet TAB for this to work, though.)

  6. Grid view Google extension is also an excellent addition to your Google Meets.
