Google Classroom

Google Classroom is an online tool that allows teachers to create assignments/quizzes/polls/announcements and share them with their class. This slide deck from Ballarat explains it more fully - Click Here

When you create assignments, emails are sent to students (and teachers) so it may be best to limit how many assignments are set. Here is a link to a Google Slide presentation that could be used at any level if you change the content!

Benefits:

  • You can add video to the slide deck - record yourself in Photo Booth (or Camera or Clips) and put it into a folder the students can see

  • Parents can have a slide for their comments

  • One Google Slide presentation for the whole week! Example - Click Here

Video: Creating an Assignment in Google Classroom with a Google Doc for each student.

Once each student has a doc - teachers can open and view each one AND leave comments on how their work is going - the feedback loop.

Creating a Feedback Loop:

Once each student has their own version of the work, you can interact with each of them as they work, not only when they have finished.

The video on the right shows how you manage a feedback loop with everyone having their own version of your master Google doc.
