Christmas

It is the eve children can’t sleep,

They await for the jolly man in the red suit,

We know he is near as we hear the slay bells ring,

The children dive into bed as they hear the raindeer on the roof,

He slides down the chimney with is bag of toys,

For all the good girls and boys,

Back up the chimney he goes,

Spreading joy through the world,

The children drift to sleep with visions of christmas joy,

The early hours of the morning are filled with joy,

With the cheers of the good girls and boys,

Parents are dragged from their slumber but happy to wake,

For they knew he was there,

The cookies were gone and the empty glass of milk remains,

For he left presents for all,
