It's time to carry the banner to our stage with Disney's Newsies! If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed into his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.
You all know the classic murder mystery story. There has been an untimely death at a country manor, everyone is a suspect, and an inspector is set on the case to find who the culprit is. However, when this play is performed by the accident-prone thespians of The Cornley Drama Society, everything that can go wrong…does! The actors and crew battle against all odds to make it through to their final curtain call, with hilarious consequences!
Ms. Clinkingbeard, Ms. Byrd, and Ms. Luedeke, as well as the rest of the students in Musical Theatre, are so beyond thrilled that we are able to perform for our community again this year! We can't wait to perform Fame Jr. on our CHS stage Spring 2021!

This expansive and ambitious musical includes a cast of almost 80 students in grades 6th-12th. Adam, Eve, Noah and the Father who created them deal with the headstrong, cataclysmic actions of their respective children. Footloose is the story of Ren McCormack, a teenage boy from Chicago. He and his mother move to the small town of Bomont after his father abandons them. Upon arriving, Ren finds himself at odds with most of the town, including the Reverend Shaw. The Reverend has convinced the town to outlaw dancing, which Ren finds unbelievable. With the help of the Ariel (the Reverend’s daughter) and Willard (a country hick who becomes his best friend), Ren convinces the Reverend to let the teenagers dance, and in the process helps the town to heal from a tragedy that affected them all.
