CTE Clubs

More accurately known as Career & Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs), these programs look to extend teaching and learning through innovative programs, business and community partnerships, and leadership experiences at the school, state and national levels.


The following groups meet throughout the month to further expand student learning in professional settings and content areas.

National FFA Organization

FFA promotes premier leadership and personal growth that benefit all students! This student group prepares students for all careers, in and out of the agriculture industry.

Must be enrolled in an Agriculture course to be an FFA member, AND all students in an agriculture class are automatically enrolled as FFA members.

Fire Science Club

Teaming with Polk County Fire District No. 1, students engage in a year-long curriculum to prepare them for a future career in firefighting and medical response

Open to Junior & Senior students at CHS.

FBLA is a Business and Management/Art, Information & Communication CTSO preparing student leaders for careers in business and information technology.

Health Occupations Club

Health Occupations Club provides students with an interest in health care and the medical field an opportunity to explore different career options through hands-on activities, guest speakers, field trips, and more.

This club currently meets twice a month on Thursdays at lunch.
