Perspective

Create a drawing/painting that uses 2 or 3 point perspective to create an engaging composition.

Parameters

• Create an engaging composition.

  • Include interesting or personally significant buildings and/or location in your composition.

  • Include linear elements that emphasize the perspective (i.e. roads, power lines, sidewalks, fences...)

• Use contrasting colors or values in shadows to create depth.

• Must be at least 8" x 10".

Steps

• Ideas: Brainstorm ideas, find source images and make rough sketches of what it might look like.

• Create:  Make your work based on feedback from your ideas.

• Title: Come up with a title that contributes to the communication of your idea and make a label (Title/Label Page).

• Artist Statement: Write an Artists Statement that adds information about your process or describes experiences that inform your work (Artist Statement Page).

• Reflect: Describe your learning.
