Quality of Light Block Print

Create a block print that conveys a feeling or "atmosphere" through the use of dramatic lighting.

This Project has three steps:

1. Idea sheet

   •  Collect black and white images that use dramatic lighting to convey a feeling or quality of light.

   • Make sketches of possible block prints you might make.

2. Create

   • Choose one of your sketches and create an art work based on it.

3. Title and Reflect

   • Generate a title that contributes to how you convey your idea.

   • Reflect on what you learned, and how visual elements communicate ideas.
