Standard Six ~

External Development Leadership

A school executive will design structures and processes that result in community engagement, support, and ownership. Acknowledging that schools no longer reflect but in fact build community, the leader proactively creates with staff opportunities for parents, community and business representatives to participate as “stockholders” in the school such that continued investments of resources and good will are not left to chance.

Standard 6A -Parent and Community Involvement and Outreach

It is important to gain the assistance of the school's community. This document shows the numerous assets in the community, to include the assets that contributed to LRES. The document also include my observations of the neighborhoods and  bus routes for LRES.

During the school year I was able to get various community assets to donate items needed for our school. There are just a few of the donation letters. We were also able to partner with Pates Farmers' Market to help with our outside beautification process.

I coordinated the Beta Club members of LRES to assist with the groundbreaking of the Lake Rim Community Splash Pad. During this opportunity, students were able to meet and shake hands with Mayor Pro Tem, City of Fayetteville Representative, Kiwanis Club Members, School Board Members and News Crews.

Standard 6B -Federal, State, and District Mandates

During our virtual open house, we not only talked with our parents about their child's teacher, but we were able to share our school  and district expectations, goals. We also had curriculum night where we continued to highlight the federal, state and district mandates we are in compliance with.  The Title I Compact further details how we are complying with those mandates.
