Caverna High School senior, Haleigh Dennison, volunteers monthly at the local nursing home.  Her project, Making Elder Connections, focuses on helping residents at the nursing home become more tech savvy while also allowing them to keep in touch with family and friends.  She has created social media accounts for all of the residents she works with and is teaching them how to navigate the app.  They are working on adding family members and friends so that they can stay connected.  Haleigh's goal is to not only strengthen the mental health of residents but also, possibly stop some of the effects of early onset dementia.
