Dear Parents,
We are so proud of how far the students have come in just one week! There are so many new routines and rules to learn, but they are all working very hard to learn them. We will be spending more time this week adding in new activities and their procedures, and it would be very helpful if you practiced multi-step directions and independently completing tasks at home too!

We will also continue working on correct grasp and use of the pencil, and practicing strokes and tracing. Reviewing all the letters of the alphabet, and their sounds will continue being our main focus. We will send home lowercase letters with pictures embedded in the letters to reinforce the sounds of the letters. Ask your child to identify these letters and the picture and sound for you! I will also include a link for a letter review song that we have been doing that they seem to really like! Math work will begin in our textbook on numbers 0-5. We will be identifying, counting groups and writing these numbers. Please also remember to review their prayers with them; bedtime or on the way to school is a great time for this!

Kindergarten does not participate in Back to School night. Our orientation took the place of this.

their free sock, free shoe, or free dress day will be this Wednesday, August 26th.
We will send a slip in the front cover of their purple folder indicating what they earned on Monday.

The reading assessment dates that Kindergarten will have this Fall are November 2nd and 3rd.
Your child will stay home on one of these days. Please let me know if one day works better for you than the other.
