To Teach our students Roman Catholic values in an environment of academic excellence.
March 16, 2026
All 3 of these class leaders are allowed to bring a show-n-tell each day of this week.
There are only a few more weeks of classroom instruction, and reading practice until our Spring reading assessments! I did do informal assessments during report card testing, which is why the books they are getting for homework should seem a little more challenging. The books that are coming home are on an instructional level, not an independent reading level; this means they should be a little challenging, and it is ok for you to help them with a few words they may struggle with. However, if the books are too hard, and become frustrating for your child, please let us know. It should not take them any longer than 10 minutes to read them the first time, and less than that the second round (on the Wednesday and Thursday night assignment). Make sure to also let me know if the books do NOT seem challenging at all; we can easily switch the books to bump them up or down a notch! The goal is to improve their skills while also fostering a love of reading and feeling successful! Thank you for your help and guidance with this!

P.S. Remember to refer to the Reading Level Conversion chart that came home a few weeks. It can help you choose books on your child's correct reading levels this summer (and possibly over the Easter break if you choose)! We use "Guided Reading Levels", but you may also see "Lexile Reading Levels" in the Public library, on our book orders, in book stores, or on-line. This chart will help you see where your child reads within both systems. If you are looking for an on-line source for leveled books, EPIC is a good resource. I recommend reading with real books when possible though!

Please send in 12 stuffed Easter eggs for your child if you have not already done so! We are beginning to number them on Tuesday!
If the eggs are not staying securely closed, please put tape on each side. They can be stuffed with small trinkets (stickers, coins, non-chocolate and peanut free candy, etc.) We will put all the eggs in one large bag at school, and randomly number them with the student's "line-up" numbers. They won't be looking for the eggs that they bring.
Our Easter egg hunt will be on March 27th on the front lawn of Father Chester's home, Le'Veche at 1:30.
You are all welcome to come. The students will need an Easter basket on this day.

Thank you so much for all the hand sanitizer and cleaning spray!!!

The "rice bowl" cardboard box that was sent home last week is a way for your child to collect change from doing things that are helpful around the house. We are trying to teach them about almsgiving and helping the poor. You do not have to fill it up, and can return any change collected until Easter break or save it for the Change for Miles campaign that will begin soon.!
