The mandatory orientation will take place from August 4, 2025-August 8, 2025. The entire orientation is mandatory.
Please see the tentative orientation schedule below. Please note that this is subject to change and more sessions may be added. Each time the schedule is updated, I will upload it here.
The dress code for Monday, August 4th will be business casual. On Tuesday, August 5th, you will want to dress in professional attire for your class composite photograph in the morning. If you wish to change into scrubs or business casual for the afternoon, you are welcome to. The dress for Wednesday will be scrubs or business casual clothing. On Thursday, August 7, you are encouraged to dress casually (shorts are fine) because you will be getting your kits, carrying equipment and sorting through boxes as well as going on a campus scavenger hunt. For the White Coat Ceremony on Friday, you must be in your seats by 1:30pm. You will be seated in pews and if you are late, everyone will know it because you most likely will have to walk down the center aisle and climb over several people to get to your seat. You should not wear suit coats, jackets or blazers to the White Coat Ceremony, as the white coat will not fit over them. Also, women may want to consider not wearing heels to the ceremony. There are large, open-hole air conditioning grates that you may have to walk over. You will also be walking a considerable distance after the ceremony to get to the group photograph location and then to the reception.
Below, you will find the tentative schedule, the schedule for the Tuesday morning activities (if you already meet the requirements for the TB, you do not have to attend the TB testing), and a map of the white coat ceremony places.
