So, what are the next steps?

1. AAMC Criminal Background Check:  Beginning in early January, 2026, you will be receiving an email request from Certiphi Screening, the AAMC's background check provider, to complete their background check.  This must be done as a part of your acceptance requirements.

2. Bookmark this site, as we will be updating it frequently over the coming months with new information that will help you prepare for your medical education at CWRU SOM and CCLCM.

THE UNIVERSITY PROGRAM:

• START DATE:  Classes and Orientation will begin on July 6, 2026.  Detailed pre-enrollment information and instructions will be communicated to you and updated on this site over the coming months.  

THE CLEVELAND CLINIC LERNER COLLEGE OF MEDICINE

• START DATE:  Orientation will begin on July 6, 2026.  Detailed information will be shared with you via mail.  

THE MSTP:

• START DATE:  Orientation will begin in early July 2026. Detailed pre-enrollment information and instructions will be communicated to you and updated on this site in 2026.
