Director of Operations Board Report
October 1, 2025
Good Evening,
Facilities:
As fall is fast approaching we are spending as much time wrapping up some outside projects and prepping for our fast approaching winter season. We will start prepping of our softball/baseball fields this fall to get ahead of the spring seasons. Trimming back of trees around the schools to remove limbs from roof lines and out of playing fields. This will also help to increase visibility for lighting in our parking lots as well.
All boiler systems have been serviced and are waiting on some minor service to pellet boilers for the heating season. Service and preparation of some of our snow removal equipment will take place soon.
Overall exterior building inspections will commence to have them completed within the next couple weeks. This includes roof, siding, grounds, etc. in preparation for the winter season.
We are still waiting on some components to complete our surveillance systems for the schools. According to the vendor, those should be arriving soon.
Transportation:
Currently we still have one bus off the road needing some repairs to the turbo (Bus 12). We have increased the visibility of our fleet by bringing buses back to the garage after runs. This has allowed for our mechanics to service smaller issues quicker and help to identify those that may become issues in the future. This has also made things easier for video review as we have had an influx of behavioral issues on the buses.
We will be focusing on cleaning up our bus yard in the near future as it used to be a collection site for metal and other items that were disposed of from the schools.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you,
