   The red Panda is classified as a carnivore because they are descended from the same ancestors that were        carnivores. But, their diet mainly consists of bamboo.

      The red panda is an endangered animal and there is less than 10,000 in the world. But there are only 2,500          know to be left in the wild.       

• Red pandas are usually quiet, but when they do make sounds, they will tweet, squeal, and even quack.

• Red pandas got the name 'panda' about 50 years before the black and white variety was discovered.

• The Red panda usually eat up 98% bamboo daily and they eat up to 20,000 leaves a day!
