In order to assist and support all students and families through the high school and post secondary planning process this year the CHS School Counselors will provide one-on-one meetings with all sophomore students and their parent(s)/guardian(s), if available. Unfortunately, due to the nature of scheduling individual meetings for all 10th grade students, we are unable to accommodate rescheduling meeting dates/times. The meeting will be held with your student at the time indicated on the letter that will be mailed home a few weeks prior to the meeting. If parents/guardians are unable to attend, we encourage a review of the meeting with your student at home afterwards.
During the meeting the following topics will be reviewed:
Review of student’s academic progress (credits/grades)
A-G requirements (CSU/UC minimum requirements)
Draft a plan for 11th and 12th grade courses
Discuss post secondary interests and career goals
To optimize our limited time together, we request students/parents/guardians complete the following tasks:
Have a discussion about academic, postsecondary, and wellness goals
We look forward to providing this opportunity to all of our 10th grade students!
