What did you ask students to evaluate their learning? What was your rubric for evaluating them?
Habiamos trabajado anteriormente con el arte huichol y con los alebrijes, y las estudiantes querian moldear sus propias figuras, y tomando en cuenta que conocian la tecnica. Les presente una mezcla de las dos tecnicas, hariamos un"HUICHOBRIJE" nombre que surgio conformo hablabamos acerca de lo que queriamos lograr.
We had worked previously with the art of huichol and with the alebrijes, and the students wanted to mold their own figures, taking into account that they knew the technique. Present a mixture of the two techniques, we would make a "HUICHOBRIJE" name that appeared and talked about what we wanted to achieve.
What responses did you receive from students via your evaluation?
La respuesta fue " claro que lo podemos hacer, conocemos las dos tecnicas'' le dije : " Perfecto" pero no sera con clay, usaremos Foam Moldeable para este proyecto, lo cual estuvieron espectantes de como hiban a trabajar en ese material.
The answer was " sure we can do it, we know the two technics'' I said: "Perfect" but will not be with clay, we will use Moldable Foam for this project, which were amazed how hiban to work on that material.
Gema started drawing her project, trying to get an idea of what the final project would be.
Here Rachel asked them to write the story about her figure, in English, so she could correct and help improve her writing.
Rachel trajo crucigramas con nuevo vocabulario en ingles para las estudiantes, para que despues buscaran el significado de las palabras, como se escribe y como se pronuncia.
Rachel brought crosswords with new vocabulary in English for the students, so they could then look for the meaning of the words, how it is written and how it is pronounced.

La respuesta espectante de, como seria ese material? seria mas limpio el trabajo? sera mas rapido de secar? nos daria tiempo de terminar?
Esto me demuestra que aunque ya hayamos hecho alebrijes , o trabajado el arte huichol, no acaba ahi, trabajar con diferentes materiales y sacarlos de su zona de conford les a gustado porque los reta, a trabajar en nuevas tecnicas y nuevos materiales, y asombrarse de que, cuando han aprendido una tecnica, la podran elavorar en cualquer material que se les coloque enfrente de ellos, me enorgullece que mis estudiantes me digan" ya conocemos esas tecnicas nos sera mas facil desarrollar las dos en una sola pieza"
The answer is, how would that material be? would the work be cleaner? will it be faster to dry? would give us time to finish?
This shows me that even though we have already made alebrijes , or worked the art huichol, do not finish ahi, working with different materials and take them out of their area of conford liked because they challenge them, to work on new techniques and new materials, and wonder that, when they have learned a technique, they can use it in any material that is placed in front of them, I am proud that my students tell me "we already know those techniques we will be easier to develop the two in one piece"

Les pedi que hicieran una figura de practica para que conocieran el material que es el Foam Moldeable, se divirtieron amasando el material, muchos dijeron " Esto es relajante".
El proyecto se trato de hacer una figura que tuviera algo que comunicarnos, cual era la historia? porque la hiciste asi? era verano, queriamos divertirnos, el arte es relajante es espontaneo, es imaginacion, no hay una estructura exacta, es abstracto, es algo que habla de ti, de lo que quieres hacer en ese momento y ver lo que puedo hacer, lo que puedo lograr.
I asked them to make a practice figure so they know the material that is Moldable Foam, they had fun kneading the material, many said "This is relaxing".
The project tried to make a figure that had something to communicate, what was the story? because you did it so? It was summer, we wanted to have fun, art is relaxing is spontaneous, it’s imagination, there is no exact structure, it’s abstract, it’s something that talks about you, what you want to do at the time and see what I can do, what I can achieve.
This student decided to bring her children in this summer, and in this photo they are drawing and looking for what they want to do for the project.
