Meet the managers

Amber is the Ski School Director at Nozawa Onsen. She did her first ever winter season for Canyons in 2017 and has been doing back to back winters ever since, bringing her vast knowledge from seasons around the world to Japan.

With Nozawa being the largest ski school at Canyons, Amber values building exceptional team dynamics for her staff while simultaneously providing excellent guest experiences.

Daniel is the Operations Manager at Canyons Yuzawa. Originally from New Zealand, he has spent the last 3 winters in Yuzawa overseeing the ski school operation and exploring the backcountry and many resorts on offer in the region.

He prioritizes supplying high quality guest experiences and providing a supportive environment for staff.

Coming from an extensive tourism management background, he has also worked in the ski industry in Canada and the USA.
