Welcome to 2.5 Class

Our goal is to help students and families have a positive first school experience. We will make loving connections with each student so they feel seen and safe in their classroom. Our teaching model is solely focused on social/emotional development. In our classroom students will gain confidence, independence, and a joy for lifelong learning.

There are two 2.5 classes:

The Monday/Thursday Class - 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM

The Tuesday/Friday Class - 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM

Tuition is $200/month.

2.5 Class

PRESCHOOL REGISTRATION

2025-26 SCHOOL YEAR

We held registration for our 25-26 School Year - 2.5 Class and Toddler Time class. Our 2.5 Class is full with a waitlist.

Curbside Drop-off and Pick-up

Students enrolled in the 2.5 classroom will participate in curbside drop-off and pick-up. Staff will be waiting for students at the top of the staircase in the parking lot. Please pull up to the curb and a staff member will greet your child at the car to check them in at 9:00. Staff and students will be waiting on the benches at 11:00 for pick-up. Please pull up to the curb and a staff member will deliver your child to your car.

Communication

Teachers will use the Brightwheel app to send activity information, pictures, important dates and events throughout the year.

Teachers will communicate directly with parents about behavior or any other issues that arise in the classroom by phone or email. Feel free to message your child's teacher with any questions you have about how your child is doing in class! (Teachers will respond to messages during the hours of 7:00am-5:00pm)

Assessments and Conferences

Teachers will conduct 1 social/emotional assessment mid year. Assessments will be used to determine where kiddos need more love and support, with no emphasis on academic abilities as our program focus is social and emotional growth and early intervention tools.

2 parent/teacher conferences will be held throughout the year. Format and exact dates of the conferences will be determined by your child's teacher closer to the events.

Academic

Uses words to communicate needs
Comfortability in setting other than home
Communicates name when asked by adult
Identifies some shapes
identifies some colors
Identifies body parts
Plays with/touch most sensory activities
Introduction to use of art tools such as crayons, markers, and paintbrushes

Self Care

Remembers where their cubby is (with picture label)
Puts belongings in their cubby
Stands in line to wash hands
Washes hands when asked with teacher assistance
Can locate items such as backpack and coat (recognize their own belongings)

Social and Emotional

Follows teacher requests (clean up the blocks)
Uses words to communicate feelings
Understands and follows classroom rules, routines and expectations
Leaves parents without tears
Developing friendships with peers
