September Documentation
The three files being uploaded for September should not be identical. Parent and Family Engagement and Student, Parent, School Compact should contain information from PAC 4 and/or other times that input was sought for revisions.
Parent and Family Engagement Policy and Student, Parent, School Compact need prior year's copy and the current revised copy.
The Policy and the Compact will be documented in the folder as two separate entries.
The same advertisement information may appear in all three files. Advertisement information for PAC 4 and/or other meetings held for revisions should be include with PFE and Compact as needed.
Faculty input is relevant for PFE and Compact. Information related to faculty suggestions, such as dated faculty meeting minutes or SIT minutes, may be added to the file(s).
School Parent and Family Engagement (PFE) Policy
Schools promote parental involvement and participation in several ways, including the development of the school parent and family engagement policy. Annually, parents should review and provide input and feedback on the PFE that describes how the school will carry out the requirements of Section 1116(c) through 1116(f). The parents involved in the review and revision process should be representative of all student populations. The school disseminates the PFE policy to parents and the public, via the school's web site and other means, as needed to ensure that it is readily available . (Element 3,6 )
Policy is revisited yearly, generally in April or May (usually part of PAC 4)
Policy should be specific to each school
Revisited, reviewed, and revised with input from parents and families
Voted on by school personnel and parents
Policy may be added to school web site as means of distribution to parents and the public. If not on the web site, other distribution is required.

Student Parent School Compact
Schools provide parents with the Student Parent School Compact and the following information: description and explanation of the curriculum and academic content standards in use at the school; description and explanation of the forms of academic assessment used to measure student progress; description and explanation of how achievement towards academic standards are determined; and opportunities for regular meetings to formulate suggestions and participate in decisions related to the education of their children. Schools seek input from parents, and representatives of the school's population, in the revision of a school-parent compact that outlines the shared responsibilities and the development of partnerships to help children achieve the state's high standards and contains all the elements of 1116(d). (Element 3,6)

If multiple sessions are held, documentation may include one presentation and a description of additional meetings.

Parent Advisory Council Meetings (PAC 1)
Annual schoolwide meeting for all grade levels and parents held in the first twenty days of school. During this meeting, parents and families will have the opportunity to learn about Title I funding and how the funds are used at your school. Funds may be used to supplement the educational program in an effort to ensure all students have access to a high-quality education with highly qualified teachers, using evidence-based- and research-based programs and strategies, and by engaging parents, families, and communities in education. Documentation needed:
PAC 1 Form (will force you to make a copy of the form for your school use).
Evidence of advertisement.
Dated records from the meeting including agenda, meeting notes, and sign-in sheets showing affiliation and position of participants and signatures. Minutes should include detailed notes of parent comments/input. For 2023-2024, detail how you sent information to parents and stakeholders; detail how you know that they received/reviewed the material, and explain why a large meeting could not be held and any delays to using the alternative formats for holding the meeting.
Slide presentations and other materials shared during PAC 1 explain Title I funding and how your school uses the funds to supplement the educational program in your school. If you use a video, include a link to the video in PAC 1 form. Video may be uploaded to the documentation folder separately.
Include a copy of an alternative language/format for advertisement and meeting materials as appropriate for parents with limited English proficiency and/or parents with disabilities.
Signed copy of the Parent Activity form approval for Title I funds spent. (Must be signed by the principal and Title I Director.)
Do not include records related to PAC 4. Do not need the revision information related to PFE policy or the Student Parent School Compact unless it was revised during PAC 1.
