Remember, Tutors can be available during the day or after school (if current teachers cannot serve their students after school during tutoring and get paid)
Tutors are year-to-year employees. The earliest tutors can begin is November 1 due to funding sources. Tutor positions must be posted through HR after approval of the budget and plan from the Federal Programs Director, and hiring procedures must meet the FLSA. Tutors are an extension of classroom learning and should be highly qualified paraprofessionals to provide the best instruction for students. The last day tutors can work is the last student day of the school year. It is strongly discouraged to use tutors for remediation and retesting of EOG/EOC testing.
Share and present during summer planning with SIT to determine adjustments/reductions/changes to spending to improve school performance and overall student growth. Document in the SIT Agenda and Minutes of the presentation and discussion. Make sure not to share specific student names and data to protect student privacy.

Schools compose a letter on school letterhead explaining the mCLASS assessments, achievement levels, and growth. Please include information on how to read the reports that will be sent home with students in a letter format called Home Connect.
Schools provide individual student reports to each parent in Home Connect. Individual reports are released on the timeline required by the state or under local decisions. For mCLASS, the reports are released/sent to parents in the Home Connect format following the three benchmark assessments.
On letterhead, explain in detail when the individual test information for your students was made available. How you disseminated the information when you disseminated the information, and what languages you provided the information in for your parents.
Documentation needed:
mCLASS Assessment Attestation Form (will force you to make a copy of the form for your school use).
The description in the form of how the student achievement level information/report was distributed and the date(s) distributed.
Copy of letter, flyer, or material provided to parents. Include a copy of an alternative language/format for a letter, flyer, or materials as appropriate for parents with limited English proficiency and/or parents with disabilities.

Schools should notify parents that the student's testing information is available in the parent portal. Individual reports are released on the timeline required by the state or under local decisions and made viewable in the parent portal. If parents are not able to navigate the parent portal, it is the school's responsibility to help the parent find and interpret their child's test information.
On letterhead, explain in detail when the individual test information for your students was available in the parent portal and how you notified parents that the information was in the portal. What plan did you offer for parents of students who did not have access to the parent portal or understand how to use the portal? Did you have a station set up during a parent night to help parents access the parent portal? Did the staff help explain the test information from the parent portal to the parents?
